Just one 12-ounce (350ml) regular soda contains about 140 calories, the staggering equivalent of 10 teaspoons of sugar. Similarly, one eight-ounce glass (235ml) of orange juice contains a whopping eight full teaspoons of sugar, and at least 50 percent of that sugar is fructose.
