Do u hav any, any at all, suggestions as to wat area i should investigate to get on top of this. Its driving me nuts. Any suggestions please????
Hi Karyn, We are very sorry to hear of your health difficulties. As you will appreciate, we are not doctors and cannot give medical advice. If you are not satisfied with the advice you have received from your doctor, you can always try to find another one who is better versed in functional medicine. The internet should help you in finding someone. Speaking in general terms, and not specifically related to your medical problems, a good functional medicine practitioner will assess a patient as a whole with a panel of tests and examine all aspects of lifestyle in determining what changes to make and supplements, herbs or medication to recommend. As a general rule all ill health starts in the gut and most practitioners will recommend eliminating known inflammatory foods such as all grains (not just going so called gluten free, avoiding wheat, rye, barley and oats, which has a lot of problems associated with it) and dairy products. Only drinking pure water and herbal teas and eating plenty of organic or spray free vegetables, some but not a lot of fruit, and the best quality fish and grass fed meat that people can afford (CAFO raised meat is to be avoided).Just doing this for 30 days will usually see a very significant improvement in most symptoms. The key is to reduce any toxic load in a patients life eg cosmetics, personal care, household cleaning, environmental (including EMFs and mobile phone microwaves etc), occupational, stress as well as from food sources. We wish you good luck with finding a doctor that can help you. Tim
