Delicious Turmeric Latte Recipe

Now that the summer temperatures have gone in Australia and we are in autumn heading into winter, the thought of a luxurious warm drink is becoming very appealing again after the heat of summer. This delicious turmeric latte recipe really fits the bill as it is full of healthy ingredients and the good fats will give you plenty of energy. A great drink after lunch to fuel you through to dinner time, or taken at any time of the day.

Ingredients for one mug (300ml) – ideally all organic especially coconut milk and oil

  • 150ml pure water
  • 150ml coconut milk
  • 2 tbs coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg powder (optional)
  • 1/8 tsp cardamon powder (optional)
  • 2 pinches of good quality sea salt
  • 1 heaped tsp of raw honey (or to your taste)


Add all ingredients except the honey to a pan and heat to a simmer, stirring occasionally to dissolve the spices. Pour into your mug and stir in the honey. Top with a sprinkling of cinnamon powder.

If you have a hand operated milk frother or a frothing attachment on your coffee machine, you can pour approximately half the heated turmeric latte into your mug, add the honey and then froth the remainder before adding to the mug and sprinkling with cinnamon.

Delicious and filling either way. The turmeric is anti-inflammatory, the cinnamon will help to smooth out any blood sugar increase from the honey and the fats in the coconut milk and oil will give you energy.
